Turkey plastic surgery costs from about $1,000 for eyelid surgery to $7,000 for a Brazilian butt lift in 2026, and most hospitals sell it as an all-inclusive package with the operation, hospital stay, hotel and transfers. The most requested procedures are rhinoplasty, liposuction and body contouring, and breast surgery. Safety depends on the individual surgeon and hospital, and on planning your aftercare and flight home before you book.

Turkey is one of the busiest countries for plastic surgery. In the 2024 global survey of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, surgeons in Türkiye reported 1,110,306 cosmetic procedures, 570,478 of them surgical, and the most common operations were rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, liposuction and breast augmentation. On average about 29.6% of their patients travelled from abroad (median 15%), most often from Germany, the United Kingdom and the United States (Source: ISAPS Global Survey 2024).

Turkey Plastic Surgery Costs in 2026

Plastic surgery prices in Turkey run from about $1,000 for eyelid surgery to about $7,000 for a BBL. The table below gives typical price ranges per procedure in Turkey, with a link to our detailed guide for each one. Exact prices depend on the complexity of the operation, the surgeon’s experience and the city.

ProcedureTypical price in TurkeyOur detailed guide
Rhinoplasty (nose job)$2,500 – $6,000Nose job in Turkey
Breast augmentation (implants)$2,500 – $5,500Breast lift in Turkey

Several procedures are often combined in one trip, such as a mummy makeover in Turkey, which costs more in total but saves a second journey and a second recovery period.

For a breast augmentation price on its own, see boob job cost in Turkey, and for a nose job price broken down by technique, see rhinoplasty cost in Turkey. A quote is only final after a surgeon has examined you, so ask for it in writing with everything that is and is not included.

A low headline price is not the whole cost. Complications and revision surgery can add to it, and treatment of complications back home may not be covered if your insurer treats the surgery as elective (Source: ASPS).

The most common plastic surgery procedures in Turkey are rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, liposuction and breast augmentation. Face and head procedures made up 48.3% of the surgical total in 2024, body procedures 30.0% and breast procedures 21.8% (Source: ISAPS Global Survey 2024).

These are the numbers of procedures reported by surgeons in Türkiye for 2024, not prices, and they include patients who live in Turkey as well as visitors (Source: ISAPS Global Survey 2024).

Face and nose

Facial surgery is the largest group in Turkey. Rhinoplasty is the single most common cosmetic operation there, followed closely by eyelid surgery; facelifts, neck lifts and brow lifts are less common but still performed in large numbers. For the trip and cost of a nose operation see Nose job in Turkey, and for a full facelift see how much a deep plane facelift costs in Turkey (Source: ISAPS Global Survey 2024).

Breast surgery

Breast augmentation, breast lift and breast reduction are the main breast operations. If you have implants, remember that breast implants are not lifetime devices: the FDA advises patients to assume they will need further operations at some point, and it requires a patient decision checklist and a patient device card listing the implant details. The FDA also warns of a rare lymphoma linked to breast implants, BIA-ALCL, which can develop in the scar tissue around an implant (Source: FDA).

Body contouring

Liposuction, tummy tuck, buttock augmentation, arm lift and thigh lift make up the body group, and they are often combined after weight loss or pregnancy. Abdominal and body operations need a longer stay before flying than breast or facial surgery, so plan your dates around the procedure, as explained below (Source: NHS).

What Do Turkey Plastic Surgery Packages Include?

A Turkey plastic surgery package usually includes the operation, the hospital stay, a hotel and transfers, but not flights. Most hospitals bundle the medical and travel parts into a single price. A standard all-inclusive package covers:

  • Medical care: surgeon and anaesthesia fees, pre-operative blood tests, the hospital stay, post-operative medicines and surgical garments.
  • Accommodation: a hotel stay for the first part of your recovery.
  • Transport: private transfers between the airport, hotel and hospital.
  • Support: a patient coordinator or translator during medical visits.

As a real example, the combined body-contouring packages listed on the profile of Asst. Prof. Ahmet Aydın, a plastic surgeon in Istanbul, include consultations with the surgeon and the anaesthetist, pre-operative tests, general anaesthesia, medicines, compression garments, follow-up examinations, a 2-day hospital stay, 5 hotel nights, VIP transport and complication insurance. Flights are not part of a standard package, so budget for them separately.

Before you pay, check what the package does not cover: further surgery if something goes wrong, extra hotel nights if you are not fit to fly on the planned date, and how you would get home in an emergency. The NHS notes that travel insurance does not normally cover things going wrong in surgery, so ask what the clinic’s or surgeon’s own insurance covers (Source: NHS).

Is It Safe to Get Plastic Surgery in Turkey?

Plastic surgery in Turkey can be safe if you choose an accredited hospital and a certified surgeon, but every operation carries risks and some are harder to manage once you are home. The NHS puts the decision this way:

"It’s important to do your research if you’re thinking about having cosmetic surgery abroad. It can cost less than in the UK, but you need to weigh up potential savings against the potential risks."
— NHS, Cosmetic surgery abroad.

The NHS adds that overseas clinics may not provide follow-up treatment, or may not provide it to the same standard as in the UK, and that travel insurance does not normally cover things going wrong in surgery (Source: NHS).

What the evidence says about complications after surgery abroad

Infection is the most common complication seen in people who travel for surgery, and air travel and surgery each raise the risk of blood clots on their own (Source: CDC).

A 2026 review in BMJ Open collected 655 patients treated in UK NHS hospitals between 2006 and 2024 for complications of bariatric, cosmetic or eye surgery done abroad; Turkey was the destination for 61% of the patients whose destination was recorded. Among the 265 cosmetic surgery patients, infection (45%) and wound breakdown (43%) were the most reported problems, and some needed long hospital stays and several operations. The review cannot say how often complications happen, because nobody records how many UK residents travel for surgery (Source: BMJ Open, 2026).

Brazilian butt lift safety

The BBL carries a specific risk that patients should ask about. In 2018 a multi-society task force of plastic surgery organisations, including ASPS and ISAPS, estimated its mortality as high as 1 in 3,000, caused by fat entering the veins of the buttock muscle, and concluded that fat should be placed only under the skin and never into the muscle. Ask your surgeon which plane they inject into and how they keep the cannula out of the muscle (Source: ASPS multi-society task force).

How to choose a surgeon and hospital in Turkey

  • Check the surgeon: registration with the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons, their training, the organisations they belong to, how long they have practised and how many similar procedures they have done.
  • Check the hospital: look for Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation or recognition by the Turkish Ministry of Health. JCI publishes a list of the facilities it accredits, but accreditation does not guarantee a good outcome (Source: CDC).
  • Meet the surgeon, not only sales staff: the NHS advises 2 consultations with the surgeon treating you before any surgery, which gives you a cooling-off period, normally 2 weeks in the UK (Source: NHS).
  • Make sure you understand each other: the surgeon needs to explain the procedure in a language you understand and answer your questions.
  • Agree the aftercare: find out what happens if there are complications, where follow-up appointments will be and how much any further surgery would cost.
  • Look at real results: ask to see before-and-after photos of the surgeon’s own work for the procedure you want (Source: NHS).

How Long to Stay in Turkey and When You Can Fly Home

Plan to stay in Turkey for about 5 to 10 days after most plastic surgery, depending on the operation. Air travel and major surgery both raise the risk of a blood clot, so the length of your stay is set by the procedure, not by the package. The NHS recommends not flying for:

ProcedureDo not fly for
Breast surgery and liposuction5 – 7 days
Facial cosmetic procedures and tummy tucks7 – 10 days

US guidance is a little more cautious for some operations: the CDC advises not flying for 10 days after chest or abdominal surgery, and notes that ASPS recommends waiting 7 to 10 days after facial, eyelid or nose procedures. Your surgeon sets the final date after checking your wounds (Source: CDC).

Plan rest, not a holiday, straight after surgery: the NHS advises against drinking alcohol, lying in the sun, sightseeing or going in the water while you recover (Source: NHS).

How to Plan a Plastic Surgery Trip to Turkey

Plan the trip in this order: choose the surgeon, agree the plan and aftercare in writing, then book flights around the safe flying date for your procedure.

  1. Before booking: have your consultations with the surgeon who will operate, check their training and the hospital, and get a written quote (Source: NHS).
  2. 4 to 6 weeks before travel: see your own doctor, and consider a travel medicine consultation for advice on your own health needs (Source: CDC).
  3. Insurance and emergencies: check what the clinic’s insurance covers and how you would get home in an emergency, since ordinary travel insurance does not normally cover surgical complications (Source: NHS).
  4. In Turkey: surgery, hospital stay and hotel recovery, with rest rather than sightseeing until your surgeon clears you to fly (Source: NHS).
  5. Before you leave: take a complete set of your medical records, in English, including your operation notes (Source: CDC).

Follow-up is the hardest part to arrange from abroad: patients who live far away may not be able to return for checks, and a doctor at home may not get a full record of what was done (Source: ASPS).

Recovery and Aftercare Back in the UK

Recovery after plastic surgery in Turkey continues for weeks after you fly home, so arrange time off work, help at home and a way to contact your surgeon before you travel. Keep copies of your operation notes and implant details if you had implants (including the patient device card for breast implants), and ask whether remote check-ups by video are included. Plastic Surgery in Istanbul and Other Cities

Many patients choose Istanbul, and others ask about an aesthetic surgeon in Ankara, Izmir or Antalya. Prices and packages vary between hospitals within each city, so compare written quotes rather than city averages. The outcome depends on the individual surgeon rather than the city, so compare surgeons and hospitals first and the location second. Our plastic surgeons, including Asst. Prof. Ahmet Aydın, work in Istanbul.

Male Cosmetic Surgery in Turkey

Procedures men often ask about include gynecomastia surgery, rhinoplasty, liposuction and hair restoration. Worldwide, eyelid surgery and gynecomastia surgery were the two most common cosmetic operations in men in 2024, and surgeons in Türkiye reported 16,974 gynecomastia operations that year (Source: ISAPS Global Survey 2024).

The same checks on the surgeon, hospital and aftercare apply to men. See gynecomastia surgery in Turkey and hair transplant in Turkey.

FAQ's

Turkey can be a good country for plastic surgery if you thoroughly check the surgeon and hospital. Surgeons in Türkiye reported more than 570,000 cosmetic operations in 2024, most often rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, liposuction and breast augmentation, and some private hospitals hold JCI accreditation. Standards vary, though, accreditation does not guarantee a good outcome, and follow-up after you fly home is harder, so agree an aftercare plan first.

Most common plastic surgery procedures in Turkey cost between about $1,000 and $7,000 in 2026, usually as an all-inclusive package. Typical ranges are $2,500 to $6,000 for rhinoplasty, $2,500 to $5,500 for breast augmentation, $1,500 to $4,500 for liposuction and $3,500 to $7,000 for a BBL.

There is no single best plastic surgery in Turkey. The most common operations there in 2024 were rhinoplasty, eyelid surgery, liposuction and breast augmentation, and the best choice depends on the procedure and the individual surgeon. Check the surgeon is registered with the Turkish Society of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgeons and the hospital is accredited.

It depends on the operation. The NHS advises not flying for 5 to 7 days after breast surgery or liposuction and for 7 to 10 days after facial procedures or a tummy tuck, and the CDC advises 10 days after chest or abdominal surgery. Your surgeon confirms the date after checking your wounds.

A standard all-inclusive package covers the surgeon and anaesthesia fees, pre-operative tests, the hospital stay, medicines and compression garments, a hotel for the first part of recovery, transfers and a coordinator or translator. Flights are not included, and you should ask in writing what happens and who pays if further surgery is needed.

Ask about the surgeon’s training, qualifications, professional memberships, years in practice and how many similar operations they have done, and look at photos of their own results. Check the hospital’s JCI accreditation or Ministry of Health recognition, and have two consultations with the surgeon who will operate before you agree to surgery.

Infection is the most common complication in people who travel for surgery, and flying soon after an operation adds to the risk of blood clots. Follow-up is harder once you are home, and complications or revisions can add to the cost. In UK hospital reports of patients treated after cosmetic surgery abroad, infection and wound breakdown were the most common problems.

A BBL has a higher risk of death than other cosmetic operations, mainly from fat entering the veins of the buttock muscle. A 2018 task force of plastic surgery societies estimated the mortality as high as 1 in 3,000 and advised that fat should only be placed under the skin, never in the muscle. Ask any surgeon, in Turkey or elsewhere, how they inject the fat.

Bring a complete set of your medical records in English, including the operation notes and medicines, and the patient device card if you had breast implants. Give copies to your own doctor so they can help if a problem appears after you return.

Yes, some procedures are often combined, such as the breast and tummy operations of a mummy makeover. It costs more in total but saves a second journey and recovery. Whether combining is safe for you depends on your health and the length of the operation, so the surgeon decides at consultation.
