How much does an eyebrow transplant in Turkey cost in 2026?
The headline range is $1,500 to $3,000 for an all-inclusive package. What separates the bottom of that range from the top is graft count and technique, not the country. Here is how Turkey sits against the places most of our patients fly from:

The UK national average for an eyebrow transplant sits at about £3,820, and Harley Street clinics average closer to £4,600. That gap is the reason the query exists at all: the same 600 grafts cost three to four times more once they are placed in London rather than Istanbul.

Eyebrow transplant Turkey price by package type
Turkish clinics quote two different things and rarely say which one you are reading:

The few hundred dollars that separate the two rows is roughly what three hotel nights and transfers cost anyway, so a package is usually the cheaper way to buy the same operation. Flights sit outside both. So does any second session, which is worth asking about in writing before you pay a deposit, because dense brows sometimes need one.
How many grafts does an eyebrow transplant need?
A standard pair of brows takes around 600 grafts. The distribution is not even across the brow, and knowing the split is how you sanity-check a quote:
- Head (the inner end, nearest the nose): 200 – 300 grafts
- Body (the arch): 300 – 500 grafts
- Tail (the outer end): 100 – 200 grafts
Mild thinning or filling a single gap can be done with 200 to 350 grafts. Rebuilding a brow lost to scarring or long-term over-plucking runs to 400 to 600, and unusually thick brows can pass 1,000. At Turkish per-graft rates the difference between a 300-graft touch-up and a 900-graft rebuild is a few hundred dollars; in London it is over a thousand.
FUE or DHI: how an eyebrow transplant is done
Both techniques take single-hair follicular units from the back of the scalp, either from the nape of the neck or from above the ears. The difference is what happens next.
- Extraction. The surgeon harvests individual follicular units with a micro-punch. Eyebrow work needs single-hair grafts, not the two- and three-hair clusters used on the scalp, so extraction is slower and more selective than a hairline case.
- Design. The brow shape is drawn on your face while you are sitting upright, before anaesthetic. This is the step that decides whether the result looks like your face or somebody elses, and it is the one to take your time over.
- Implantation. Grafts go in at a very shallow angle, around 10 to 15 degrees to the skin, so the hair lies flat along the brow instead of standing up. DHI places each graft with an implanter pen in a single motion; FUE opens the channel first.
The whole thing takes 2 to 4 hours under local anaesthetic. You are awake throughout, and you go back to your hotel the same day. The technical demand is in the angle and the density, which is why eyebrow transplantation is quoted separately from scalp work even though the donor area is identical.

Eyebrow transplant recovery timeline
Recovery is short on the surface and long underneath. The visible part is over in a week; the part that decides your result takes the better part of a year.
- Days 1 – 7. Small scabs form around each implanted hair and around the donor area. Initial scabbing heals within 5 to 7 days. Mild swelling and bruising around the eyes is normal in this window.
- Weeks 2 – 4. The transplanted hairs fall out. This alarms almost everyone and is expected — the follicle stays, the shaft sheds.
- Weeks 6 onward. New hair starts appearing from the transplanted follicles. It can take from six weeks to several months to see it.
- Months 6 – 12. Final density and shape settle. Judging the result before month six is judging an unfinished brow.
Most patients are presentable for work inside a week and photograph well from about month four. If you are planning the trip around an event, count back twelve months, not three.
Risks and contraindications of an eyebrow transplant
An eyebrow transplant is a low-risk procedure, but it is still surgery on one of the most visible parts of the face, and it carries both medical and aesthetic risk. No clinic can guarantee a graft survival rate or a final density.
Documented complications include scarring, pain, swelling, infection, bruising, and loss of feeling or of some hair follicles at the surgical site. Minor bleeding at the incision sites is common; infection is rare but possible, as with any skin procedure. Small scars can form at the donor area or around the brow itself.
The aesthetic risks are the ones patients underestimate. Grafts placed at the wrong angle grow outward instead of lying flat. A brow designed too dark, too thick or too arched ages badly. And because the donor hair is scalp hair, the colour and texture will not be an exact match for the brow hair you had.
The procedure is postponed or declined where the brow area has active skin infection or inflammation, where an autoimmune cause of the hair loss — such as alopecia areata affecting the brows — has not been diagnosed and stabilised, where scalp donor density is too poor to spare single-hair units, or where a bleeding disorder or uncontrolled systemic illness makes elective surgery unsafe. Anyone on blood thinners needs a medical review before booking. A consultation that does not ask why your eyebrows thinned in the first place is not a consultation.
How long does an eyebrow transplant last, and why does it need trimming?
The result is permanent. The follicles are your own, they are taken from an area that is not programmed to thin, and once they establish they behave like any other hair on your head — which is exactly the catch.

Transplanted brow hair keeps the growth cycle of scalp hair, so it grows long rather than stopping at brow length. Expect to trim every two to four weeks, permanently. Patients who want a maintenance-free brow are usually happier with a cosmetic option than with surgery.
Eyebrow transplant or microblading?
Microblading is cheaper on day one and more expensive by year five. Initial treatment runs about £300 to £500, with touch-ups at roughly £200 to £300 a year because pigment fades and shifts in tone. A transplant is paid once.
The real difference is not price. Microblading is pigment in skin: it looks like an eyebrow in photographs and like makeup in daylight. A transplant is hair growing out of your face at the correct angle. If you have lost brow hair to over-plucking, scarring or age and want it back rather than drawn on, the transplant is the answer to that question — and the trimming is the price of it.

Three or four nights in Istanbul covers the consultation, the procedure and the first dressing check. Bring photographs of your brows from before the thinning if you have them; they are the most useful design input a surgeon can get. Ask to see the surgeons own healed cases at twelve months rather than at one month, ask who performs the implantation, and get the graft count written into the quote rather than a package name.
