Memorial Sisli Hospital

Memorial Şişli Hospital is the first hospital built by Memorial Health Group, which was established in 1995. Located on Piyalepaşa Boulevard in Şişli, on the European side of Istanbul, the hospital was completed in about three years and received its first patient in February 2000.

Two years after opening, the hospital received Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation. According to the hospital, it was the first in Turkey and the twenty-first in the world to hold this certificate.

The hospital operates in a 53,000 m² enclosed area with a capacity of 252 beds. It has 13 operating rooms, four intensive care units covering cardiovascular surgery, general, coronary and neonatal care, and three laboratories. Specialized centers on site include organ transplantation, IVF, genetics, stroke, breast health, oncology, robotic surgery and bone marrow transplantation.

The hospital describes itself as an international reference center receiving patients from many countries. International patients are supported by the group's International Patient Center, which provides multilingual staff and interpreting services, along with help coordinating appointments, admission and transfers. Its departments span cardiology, cardiovascular surgery, neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, gynecology, pediatrics, urology and an emergency department.
